Job Summary:

The Sr. HCP Strategist has a unique, valuable, business-driving role within Relevate Health that is a part of our Strategy Team. It is unique in that this role will be responsible for independently developing, setting, and implementing the strategic vision in partnership with account leads across the delivery teams in the organization and with the support of the VP, Strategy. The ideal candidate will ensure that the work sold is strategically set up in a way to exceed client goals and to ensure the final deliverables are insightful and provide significant measurable value to the client’s business. The Sr. Strategist will be closely connected with the Account Team servicing the business and will work with the entire internal cross-functional team to determine the best ways to deliver the work. It is expected that some of the work will be independently managed and in other situations, additional internal or external resources will be pulled in to develop  high-quality deliverables with this role focused on setting the direction and providing strategic oversight through completion.

 

Duties / Responsibilities:

Strategy

• SME/Oncology Role: Serve as the HCP expert to provide insights and guidance in project work and client interactions, confidently bringing the voice of oncology physicians and customers to every workstream.

• Market Insights: Identify trends in pharmaceuticals and the business of healthcare to align client objectives with market trends and customer implications, especially focusing on oncology, nuclear radio medicine and rare oncology.

• Collaboration: Partner with Client Services, Medical, and Data Strategy Insights teams to apply market learnings  to projects and recommend new strategies. Partner with high-functioning Medical and Creative teams to ensure customer-centric content development and messaging aligned to client, brand and corporate strategies.

• Consultation: Support annual account planning and client brand planning processes, providing strategic recommendations backed by data and customer insights among HCP audiences and patients.

• Growth Agency: Work with Account Teams and Engagement Solution partners to drive organic growth with  existing clients and to open doors for new business opportunities.

 

Delivery

Project Support: Ensure project briefs and outlines align with overarching strategies and create a clear vision  for success.

• Resource Assessment: Identify the right internal and external resources for project execution.

• Content Development: Collaborate with Medical and Creative teams on developing client-facing materials.

• Training: Upskill cross-functional team members to understand the voice of health system leaders and market access customers, including how to build strategic partnerships that drive behavior change in the account management space.  

• Qualitative Research: Explore voice-of-the-customer research capabilities among HCPs, peer to peer, driving patient and caregiver insights.

 

Client Development 

• Growth Focus: Target both organic growth and new client acquisition by leveraging existing relationships and market opportunities, including cross-sell opportunities with Engagement Solutions.

• Professional Engagements: Prepare and deliver client presentations, proposals, and statements of work in collaboration with the Client Development team.

• Insight

Generation: Lead and support insight generation workstreams, particularly focusing on Advisory Panels, industry conference insights, trend monitoring, and qualitative/quantitative research.

 

Responsibilities

• Client Engagement: Actively participate in pitches and ongoing client discussions to influence positive outcomes.

• Research Translation: Interpret and/or lead qualitative research to inform HCP and Patient strategies. Also interpret quantitative research to inform strategic execution and/or work with the Strategic Data Sciences team for datadriven evaluation and insights.

• Opportunity Identification: Continuously assess client needs and suggest appropriate solutions or services to enhance client retention and satisfaction.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of the oncology-hematology and/or rare oncology landscape.

• Ability to distill complex data into actionable insights. 

• Skilled in relationship building and maintaining long-term client partnerships.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills for effectively conveying strategic recommendations.

• Ability to think strategically in a way that resonates with clients including senior leadership,  but also be able to apply learnings tactically with a strong attention to detail  

• Acts proactively and independently across multiple stakeholders to ensure customer needs are met  

• Excels in communication and thought partnership – both internally and client-facing  

• Ability to apply a variety of strategic frameworks to analyze problems and to guide and develop solutions  

• Ability to translate and communicate complex topics and data in a variety of forums and formats, tailoring communications to effectively fit and influence the targeted audience  

• Strong executive presence, presentation and communication skills  

• Ability to lead the entire range of problem-solving work from problem identification to analysis, strategic recommendation, and the development of implementation plans for both internal and external purposes  

• Ability to qualify and contextualize panel feedback in a way that clearly articulates the “so what” and captures enough detail to make insights actionable while also keeping summaries scannable for an executive audience  

 

Education / Experience:  

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, population health a plus  

• 6-8+ years related experience  

• Proven ability to translate data to insights and utilize information to support tactical implementation needs  

• Strong knowledge of healthcare industry trends, impact on health systems, and application of insights to marketing strategy and tactical execution  

• Experience with pharmaceutical, market, managed care, and/or customer analytics  

• Healthcare industry knowledge, especially about complexities of health systems and what drives decision-making  

• Digital-leaning agency experience preferred  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 

 

Working Conditions:

• Hybrid working if within 40 miles of a Relevate Health Office (Dallas, Cincinnati, New Jersey)  

• Remote working if outside 40 miles of a Relevate Health Office  • Travel may apply based on position  

• Hours may vary based on position and location of client
