THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for an Associate Creative Director, Copy to lead our AOR oncology portfolio, currently spanning two diagnostics and two therapies, with more on the way. This is a working leadership role: you'll shape positioning and messaging, turn complex clinical science into compelling brand ideas, and bring them to life across traditional and omnichannel ecosystems.

You'll own the copy team and serve as a trusted creative partner to clients and internal collaborators alike, working alongside strategy, art, account, medical, and UX to push the work forward. Our oncology clients are smart, strategic, and bold. They're long-standing partners who show up as true collaborators, and the work reflects it. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead the copy team (ICs and staff) in close coordination with art, PM, account, and medical
• Develop standout campaigns and omnichannel experiences in partnership with Strategy, Art/Design, and UX
• Develop and review creative briefs that provide genuine strategic insight and creative inspiration
• Lead concept presentations internally and with clients, with confidence and conviction
• Own projects from strategy through execution and launch as a working creative leader
• Set up creative teams, timelines, and milestones for upcoming brand launches and conceptual development
• Partner with account management to grow the business and strengthen client relationships
• Manage workloads to maximize productivity and quality across the copy team
• Collaborate with creative management to address performance, workflow, and quality issues

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves:

• Pharma agency experience
• AOR oncology copy leadership experience
• Strong presentation skills: you can articulate and defend ideas in the room with senior clients
• Demonstrated predisposition to collaboration, accountability, creative courage, and transparency
• Proven ability to write compellingly for both patients and healthcare providers
• Working knowledge of medical claim documentation, MLR processes, AMA style, annotating, and referencing

Big Pluses:

• Experience across both diagnostics and therapeutic brands
• Track record of brand launches from concept through execution
• Comfort managing across a large, growing portfolio with multiple simultaneous deadlines
• Familiarity with omnichannel content strategy and digital/UX considerations
• Experience in high-science therapeutic areas (oncology preferred)

Education:

• BA degree in Advertising, Communications, Journalism, English, Fine Arts, or a related field required
• 10+ years of pharma advertising experience
• 7+ years of pharmaceutical communications
• Outstanding portfolio demonstrating strategic range and conceptual excellence

Occasional travel to New Jersey and St. Louis is expected.
