Title: FP&A Project Accountant

Job Summary: Finance specialist who manages project lifecycle including project set up, revenue recognition, billing milestones, cost tracking and forecasting. They collaborate with key account teams and other departments to monitor financial performance and ensure compliance with all company policies & client contractual obligations. This role is critical to both internal and external functions.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the full life cycle of a project, including initial financial set up, tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Prepare project level reconciliations to discuss with key account leads and raise awareness on budget balances, actuals vs. budget, profitability, and monthly invoicing.
  • Update core project information in financial systems to ensure accurate reporting and billing.
  • Responsible for the calculation of revenue and accruals for 3 different business units.
  • Partner with Accounts Receivable department to send monthly invoices out in a timely manner.
  • Approve scope & project setup to ensure proper alignment with client contractual agreements including brand, product, and pricing, etc.
  • Validate adjustments to scopes, time entries, expenses, transfers and write-offs according to company policy.
  • Ownership of the monthly revenue forecasting process with weekly/biweekly check-ins with account teams.
  • Manage project system tools & platforms including CRM (Zoho), project management (WorkFront), accounting/ERP (Intacct), and reporting (PowerBi).
  • Collaborate with various departments throughout the life cycle of a project including finance, operations, & sales.
  • Assist with ad-hoc requests & audit reconciliations.

Skills and Qualifications

  •         Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel with ability to analyze/summarize large data sets
  •         Familiarity using project management & reporting systems (Workfront & PowerBi experience preferred)
  •         Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, & PowerPoint
  •         Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (Prior experience in agency or pharma environment a plus)

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid working if within 40 miles of a Relevate Health Office (Dallas, Cincinnati, New Jersey)
  • Remote working if outside 40 miles of a Relevate Health Office
  • Travel may apply based on position
  • Hours may vary based on position and location of client
