Senior Data Analyst  

JOB SUMMARY

The ideal candidate is an experienced data analyst with strong analytical and communication skills who enjoys working with data and creatively developing research-driven insights for clients. The candidate is a problem-solver with a demonstrated ability to explore “what if” scenarios and find innovative solutions to everyday marketing and sales challenges. The candidate must pay great attention to detail, handle multiple tasks and priorities, take initiative, and work well both independently and in a group setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain client-facing reports using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Extract and analyze data from Amazon Athena and RDS using SQL and other data sources
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Design and implement data visualization solutions, such as dashboards, to effectively communicate complex data.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports and dashboards.
  • Conduct regular data quality checks to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on data analysis to improve campaigns.
  • Present findings and insights to clients and internal teams in a clear and concise manner.
  • Follow department processes for tracking work and documentation
  • Occasional mentorship of junior analysts
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical company data/processes a plus

 KEY SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong SQL skills for querying data in Amazon Athena and RDS.
  • Expertise in PowerPoint for creating professional presentations.
  • Excellent data visualization skills using tools like Tableau.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and quality.
  • Project management skills to handle multiple reporting projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with clients.
  • Acts proactively and independently across multiple stakeholders to ensure customer needs are met
  • High attention to detail, engaging presentation skills, and the desire to lead strategic projects with high visibility
  • Is comfortable working within a fast paced, growth-oriented business environment
  • High emotional intelligence, strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, polished communications, and a proven track record of success with strategic account management
  • Knowledge of healthcare marketing and industry-specific metrics a plus

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE              

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, quantitative analysis, analytics, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience analytics experience in healthcare and/or marketing
  • Familiarity with fundamental statistical concepts and methodologies
  • Proven ability to translate data to actionable strategic insights, and to utilize information, where appropriate, to support tactical implementation needs
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Collaborative, proactive, and solutions oriented
  • Knowledge and focus on analytics and ROI
  • Experience with digital analytics desirable
  • Familiarity with Tableau, SPSS, SQL, Python, AWS, and/or Google Analytics a plus
